Got a relatively cheap Black Chrome Testina Gentile on eBay to match the SE and used it for the first time this morning. Diameter was definitely good and grip was different as the ridges aren't as grippy as the Piccolo, overall it was better. Weirdly it doesn't feel as high quality, but I know that's psychological as it's all brass.

It's hollow, a thin tube does feel different from a solid bar, and not in a good way.
It is hollow, but it doesn't feel thin or flimsy. Having thought about it more the weight is similar to the Piccolo handle and my brain is expecting it to be heavier because it wants it to be solid, so that's what's messing with me

I know, like grabbing a box you expect to be heavy but it's empty,... unfulfilled expectations!
