Yes. I don’t use power tools often enough for battery ones to make sense, it would be flat when I wanted to use it.

Power tools. If I have them already, then yes, I'm using corded tools
If I don't have them, the convenience of no cord and an interchangeable rechargeable battery is just to good to pass
Still luv tinkering on small gasoline powered engines so unless I blow an engine going to keep them in service
EV - the only time I even considered buying an EV was when everyone hated Elon and I was seeing $80k Tesla's going for $35k. I still passed - at the wife's insistence of not wanting to pay the initial and recurring costs on another vehicle

Cost per mile, we are all screwed , Petrol,Diesel, EV. So we have to make the best choice based on use.
We had a charger fitted at home and are looking at changing providers and EV tariff’s. While we were having the charger installed on the advice of the electrician who is a mate, we had a new distribution box. That cost £1,648 total, plus vat and all above board. Considering the charger was around £700 I consider that pretty good.
As a test run we charged it while shopping at our local Tesco yesterday. Bit of a pain, first up we needed an app, then we needed credit on the app. The actual socket on the charger wasn’t clearly marked, the charging light on the charger wasn’t working. I think everything that could be an issue was there, but we got there in the end. It’s a learning curve , but we got there.
We don’t do many long journeys and the range is sufficient for our regular needs. Once in a while we will need to go further but a planned journey with a loo stop will work out fine for a charge. Apparently the Tesla chargers are the ones to use.
The car its self is a Škoda Elroq Edtion 60. It feels great on the road and more cabin space than the out going Kamiq. Being use to automatic transmission the change was easy, only major difference there is just one forward gear so no gear change feel to it. I say one forward, there is a D and a B setting. The B does a brake regeneration thing and kind of auto brakes, all very smooth and good around town. Loads of extras and differences to get use too like the big screen control panel. Biggest thing there being the air con, rather than a dial it’s a button and touch screen, bit of a pain but again a learning curve.
Back to cost, based on our low mileage and short journeys we will be quids in.

Sorry, I haven't taken the time to read, but I suspect standard measurement used.
For the entire planet apart from the US, a litre is the standard measurement.
Even before Canada went metric our gallon was the Imperial gallon and not the US gallon.For the entire planet apart from the US, a litre is the standard measurement.
