No, you are correct an 8/8 is pushing the boundaries, I was just showing what you could get for your budget, RigaRazor does cheaper versions 6/8 that are every bit as good as the 8/8, and there is much love for these custom razors, and they do come with shave ready edges.

I said they had a good reputation and not that they were cheap.

Great choice, Out of all the custom razors I have ever honed or seen RigaRazors are the best, the grind and finish are superb, and the steel is great German Bohler R100, I can't remember when I last honed mine.

I’ve looked at their selection, very nice!

People can take their business wherever they want but when I see a seller asking insane prices, I stay clear. Nothing wrong advising a new guy to stay away as well since these sellers pray on the new guys.

OP, Riga is great, Koraat is great. Both reputable razor makers, flawless grinds. I have to agree with Bill, Koraat 14 2.0 is one of the best custom razors I have.

Riga keeps listing razors pretty frequently.
