Some original Acqua di Parma Colonia soft shaving soap for backup arrived.

A back-up bottle of my favourite aftershave and the new Saponificio Varesino soap.

Just had a quick sniff of the SV soap and I like it but I'm not blown away. It smells like a masculine Cologne with hints of spice in the background. That's the best I do to describe the scent I'm afraid.

I think if you're a fan of their 70th Anniversary edition you'll like this.

Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere soft shaving soap (on the left), which I am going to compare in a week-long trial with the original Acqua di Parma Colonia soft soap (on the right), which I already have been using.

Umm'ed and Ahh'ed over this for a while, What the heck, it's Christmas so trigger pulled. It's an aromatic fougere with Lavender and Black Pepper. A gentlemanly evening scent from what I have read.
