If you have the money etc and it isn't causing anyone any problems then feel free to buy away.
I have a modest collection that has slowly grown. However I do use everything in there and the things not being used get moved on. Unless you're a collector, I personally think moving on what you don't like or use is the way to go.
I need to look at my razors that aren't being used, but I only have 4 soaps and have decided on a few manufacturers that I prefer. Having said that I do want to try more.
I've never tried a badger brush so have avoided that... but I do want to try one at some point.

The best cure is to buy something that's way too expensive that you really, really wanted - only to find out that it's rubbish or not in anyway measurably better than something you've already got that cost 10 times less.

I do try Bob, I got another 2 razors recently. I also considered one of the group buy brushes.Now that is being far, far too sensible. Time to get with the syllabus.

Soap AD-Identify need verses want. I keep stocks fresh and to a maximum 2 year of stock rotation. I also don't spend more than $20 on a single soap because I have never needed to.
Razor AD-Tried 12 vintage Gillettes before finding my daily shaver and knowing that I can easily sell or gift the excess.
DE Blades-I have a 15 year supply but only because I got a steal of a deal on 500 NOS gillette spoilers and platinum plus blades and those things refuse to die.
Brushes-Like boar and you'll save a fortune. I have a Semogue Cerda LE boar brush, 2 cheap Omega boar brushes and a pricey Manchurian Badger. The boars rotate but haven't used the badger in over a year. nuff said.
Aftershaves- Have a couple but find that nothing beats a $4 Aqua Velva splash or a $6 Nivea Men AS Balm.
Other than that, I just have fun with what I have because I have many joys in daily life and shaving is just a small part of it.
