Creed Aventus in a soap?

Got my samples today of Fine Platinum and Classic 24 today . Not lathered them up yet but the scent?..........

Apart from the obvious, one being a soap, the other a 'croap', how VERY different in scent are these two? Wife prefers the Wickhams. I am reserving judgement. The Fine is deffo a powerful and manly barber shop scent. I suppose I will end up buying both as I like them in different ways but will lather them up first of course. :okay: . The danger also being that both these two have so many others to try!!!

Another vote for Wickham's Classic 24, though I must say that wonderful after-scent remains mostly on the brush rather than the face (well, that's what the parfum itself is for, right?). It is very easy to lather, priced logically and protects quite well. Giving it another go these days along with English Rose.

Interesting. Just tried the Fine Platinum. Nice lather etc and did the job well but, and this is a BIG BUT(T) of Kardashian proportions, little or no scent whatsoever in the lather itself. I don't expect the scent from a lather to hang around too long after a shave but I do like to have it in the lather otherwise what is the point of putting a scent in a soap at all? Looking forward now to trying the Wickhams but I don't think a full puck of Fine will be finding its way into this house on what I have experienced thus far.

You'll have to read this thread for context

Also surprised to hear of your experience with the Fine... I cant help but wonder if its lost some of its scent? Was it from ShaveDash?
Yes it was from shave dash. Smelt powerful in the packet, hardly anything in the bowl but strangely now, a couple of hours later and despite also smacking on some poraso green after my disappointment, I am sitting here getting more and more whiffs of the Fine as time goes on.

Edit - understand the tub issue now. Thank you

Hmm, fine soap and lather had scent for me. Anyway, Fine splashes work wonderful and last a long time. Sometimes you get a whiff a couple of hours after putting it on.
If you don't like the soap buy Wickham and Fine splash. Great combo.

Back on topic :okay: yet appreciative of the convos etc...........

Gave the Wickhams Classic 24 a run today with my newly received Fine Bowl ( another story covered elsewhere ),.

The Wickhams for me was leagues ahead of the Fine. The scent is different yes but it kept the scent throughout the shave and the lather was heavy with it. Nice. Keeper I think.

Not giving up on the Fine Plat though. I simply love the scent in the packet. I actually got odd whiffs of it for a good few hours later contrary to first reports but they were only fleeting! Will give the rest of the sample some aggressive attention later and see how we go!

Both good products as I've tried both but, to be truthful they aren't a pimple on WSP's Olympus's ass when it comes to the scent that they all project. The Wickhams is lacking the sweet smokiness and strength but I love it because it flat out performs as a soap and the Fine is well, just fine. No wow in it for me and is vague and lacking in coming close to Creed Aventus. The WSP Olympus Formula T is extremely close with the right amount of pineapple, apples and the inherent masculine smokiness scent that gets close to Aventus, really close. The Fine soap and aftershave I pif'ed and the Wickhams 24 I kept because of It's performance, though I'm a tallow man the vegan base from Wickhams is one of the best I've tried.

Trust me, WSP Olympus Formula T brings it on all fronts. The after shave tonic is even better. You can get it customized to your liking with or without menthol. I just ordered the edp cologne and it is magnificent. Not as super long lasting as the Original Aventus, but I get 6-8 hours of nice performance from it and the Misses can't tell the difference from either.

The bad? You would have to pay the extra to get it shipped overseas but if you send Lee a message, he's good at trying to keep costs down. Believe me, it will not disappoint.....

I believe The Shaving Time Co is a vendor over in the UK that might carry some of WSP products but, you would have to check and see. I know they were listed in the vendors/retailers on the WSP website.
The thing is I don't know if he can ship the after shave tonics overseas. Just send them an email and ask.
