copper & clay shaving bowls

hey people so was at my local Asian grocery store and I saw these thought they'd be good to use as shaving bowls, the copper one is big at 17cm, which I got for a tenner and the clay one I got for 99p so all in all very happy with them for that price, still need to try and use them so will see how they pan out

Anyways just thought I'd share 👍

finally got around to used the clay bowl today, felt really nostalgic tbh, anyone else use clay shaving bowls?

really enjoyed lathering up today tbh and i still remember i got it only for a quid lol

I think it was about £20, its a lovely handmade scuttle made in Modin, Israel.
That does look nice tbh

I just liked the feeling lathering in a clay bowl, like I said felt nostalgic, kinda suits the wet shaving traditional feel imo

You may have been lucky, A year ago Mrs Vac dropped a Clarins jar, only 50ml, and cracked the sink.

Speaking of shaving bowls and sinks, I was surprised to see that a barber at Trufitt and Hill doesn't use a shaving bowl, just works up a thick lather on the side of the sink, so thick that it doesn't slide away.
