I guess we all like a laugh. I recall a
section in the Reader’s Digest with the title; Laughter is the best medicine.
I used to see heavily thumbed through copies of them on waiting room tables - particularly when visiting the doctor. I don’t recall them making me laugh out loud, but they certainly helped while away the time whilst waiting my turn in the queue. Pretty tame stuff.
These days, I try to look out for funnies on TV, but increasingly find it difficult, maybe it’s an age thing. So, I often end up resorting to the old tried and tested repeats of shows from the past. Dad’s Army, Steptoe and Son etc.
Are you currently watching anything that’s supposed to be a comedy that actually makes you laugh?
My latest attempt is Schitt’s Creek on BBC player. It has the ability to sometimes make me smile and cringe at the same time.
