I will be polite and say that you may have been misinformed. I have a large collection of Feathers and a couple of Kai razors along with a collection of 'clones'. Going on list at the time for one of the Kais......I could have bought 70 Chinese clones and they don't shave any better. The clones shave well......just don't have the kudos and the cost. They are a good stepping stone....before spending a lot of money. That is why I originally started this thread.Get an original. Clones are like kissing your sister no matter how great the experience
You're the one commenting on kissing sisters lol.Sounds like a man with an experience....LOL!! Ha ha?!?!?!?!?!
I got my Feather when they were less than $50. My concern with any new razor blade holder is the metal. I had a "pot metal" blade holder that disintergrated. Do you know if the clones are stainless?
No difference.....but my preference is the Japanese style and Univinlions on Aliexpress for me is the best. A really good quality Kai Captain CloneI hate pot metal on principle and would never buy another having had a poor DE experience with the material, including a splitting wedge once upon a time.
A question, does the clone hold the blade as tight?
Well it does for now, spring steel is spring steel. I think there's more chance for the rivet holding it in place to give up than the spring breaking, but never say never...A question, does the clone hold the blade as tight?
To be honest, i would, for sure, especially now that i've tried it, and i will, it's a long tem plan.Get an original. Clones are like kissing your sister no matter how great the experience. That said, I only had a brother and we didn't kiss...LOL!!
And I respect your seasoned experience. Didn't or should not have made light. No difference.....but my preference is the Japanese style and Univinlions on Aliexpress for me is the best. A really good quality Kai Captain Clone
Too bad that Univinlions don't have a Folding Kai captain clone, only the kamisori style. No difference.....but my preference is the Japanese style and Univinlions on Aliexpress for me is the best. A really good quality Kai Captain Clone

That was what I was looking for at the time.....and yes....I agreeToo bad that Univinlions don't have a Folding Kai captain clone, only the kamisori style.
Yeap, that is exactly when you're most likely to get a little nick.I've had only one small nick on the jawline on the second shave, due to using my left hand and thus slightly missing the correct angle at the moment of placing the blade on the skin. It didn't get worse because i've felt a light sting and lifted the blade of the skin at the same moment.
I've seen enough and well, obviouslyYeap, that is exactly when you're most likely to get a little nick.
I'm glad you are enjoying SR shaving, shavettes, at least the two I have, are just wonderful shaving instruments.
I'm glad you liked the video but I really ought to do a better one, the focus of that video was not very accurate.

There are some, Univinlions makes the Kamisori style, and there are some no name folding ones. The Kai Captain clone that takes half DE blades isn't half bad.
It would be nice if they made one for AC blades, though.
