Yes sorry it's compensation for a cancelled flight, but in all honesty when applying for a refund, you are directed straight to filing a 'compensation/refund' claim. Annoyingly I also received an email from Easyjet to say I was one of the lucky few whose details have been hacked.

As chrisbd says, there is a world of difference between compensation under EC Reg 261/2004 and a refund - you should tell them so. Check if you paid by credit card too. And do you have travel insurance? I always pay by credit card and take out travel insurance. It pays to ...
