Bronze Timeless

Only my first use of the Bronze OC, this morning, but a very nice shave, indeed. I would say that this razor is a tad more efficient than even the SS 0.95 OC, but very slightly less smooth. The teeth have a very slight presence against the skin, unlike the SS, but never uncomfortable or concerning.
Tomorrow, I intend to use both razors, one for each side of my face and have an even better understanding of their comparative performance.

Second shave with the Bronze OC, this morning, on one side of my face/neck, along with the polished SS 0.95 OC on the other. I used a new Polsilver Super Iridium blade in each
Both razors are smooth, but I give the edge to the SS in that department. Whilst the teeth are not uncomfortable in the Bronze OC, I can definitely feel their presence compared to the SS.
Both razors give a DFS in two passes (WTG & XTG), if anything, the Bronze OC providing a slightly closer shave, but there's hardly anything in it, to be honest.
The real difference between these two razors, for me, is in the weight and balance. The Bronze OC is somewhere around 30g heavier than the SS and it's very apparent. Coupled to what I consider to be a bulkier head, the Bronze OC never feels completely comfortable, almost clumsy. That, and the grippier WRH1 handle makes the SS OC an all-round more enjoyable experience, IMO.
I intend to use the Bronze one more time, however, I'm already 95% sure It's a razor I won't be holding on to. As always, YMMV.

Just to give another view. For me the Bronze SB wasn't smooth at all. The baseplate is pretty short and it was too much blade on the face for me. I sended the Bronze back to Timeless.
But the Ti ,65 is great for me.

I just received and had a shave with the bronze OC on a feather and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the shave. I haven't tried the SS or any other Paradigm for that matter, but this bronze one is for me. Just the right efficiency and smooth enough, gliding along the face effortlessly, without any tugging or pulling. The built quality has to be seen to be believed and the only place I could see machining marks was under the cap. For this price it's a steal. A keeper and also a rotation DE.

Somehow the patch felt like it had a few bumps which got shaved off and looked like white spots of skin. I tried using a plate 2 for the last few shaves and yes, it definitely feels much better, especially the part under my chin.
Coming to timeless bronze, of how much I read the 38 bronze shaves something like a 6S between plates 2 & 3. Does it make sense to get the bronze ?
Definitely looking to get a nicer feeling razor at this point.

I'd suggest there are great razors you can get, both new and vintage that will shave just a bit less aggressive than 6s on 3, and they'll cost a lot less than a timeless. There are reasons to buy a timeless, but it doesn't offer a unique shave.

I don’t have a 6S mate and have never shaved with one. However I did buy the Timeless Bronze OC from Optometrist and have to say it is indeed a fantastic razor, by far the bet I own now. Effortless and comfortable shave (currently with an Astra SP blade).

I know the Bronze will Patina over time, but was wondering if anyone knew if it can be cleaned and maintained in the “new condition” its currently in. Whilst I don’t mind it becoming more unique, I’d like to keep it looking the best it can.

Hi Dan,
You can keep it shiny by drying it after each use. If it does get a little dull, you can clean it with a bronze cleaner. We use barkeepers friend. It works very well.
