EDM process does not produce burrs. Whether it be by Ram, Sinker or Wire Cutting. Those burrs at the bottom of the base plate where the chamfer and bevel is set or "hollows" as you refer to it, are produced by one thing, and one thing only, traditional CNC machining as the mill tool plunges and resets, it's a static state as the mill speed slows down and starts to realign on either of the pre-programmed axis settings and begins it's next set of programmed cutting.Yes, those hollows are wire cut. They say this is CNC machined with no wire cutting. One less operation so reduced cost. Looks too chunky to me and a bit agricultural. Cheap though...I like the engraving...
A clay Timeless now I'm intriguedI love this bit in the FAQs for the bronze:
- WE DO NOT KNOW IF OR WHEN WE WILL USE OTHER MATERIALS I.E. STAINLESS, TITANIUM, ALUMINUM, GOLD, SILVER, BRASS, WOOD, CONCRETE, PARTICLE BOARD, CARDBOARD, CLAY, COPPER OR PLASTIC FOR THIS SAME DESIGN
