Brawls and violence on air flights

From what I have read....it seems as if a lot of the violence is linked to airlines insisting that masks are worn on flights. Part of their conditions for boarding....or perhaps I am looking at the wrong news channels.

That may be part of it. It is about as much of a reason as a child taking a temper tantrum when told to do something.

It’s not just planes though where behaviour is so poor. Just been watching an article on BBC News. Ambulance men having to wear body cams ! For goodness sake these are people who help us, save our lives and take care of our loved ones in distress ! Lock them up I say, but it’s all softly softly and some excuse for their behaviour, and a suspended sentence at the best. These should be one strike offence.

As for drinks on flights I think many have had a few too many Before they get on the plane. If they removed alcohol from flights it may help, I wouldn’t miss it that’s for sure. There are many factors, but one touched on here was that I will do what I want attitude. I have total respect for the guys that keep our borders safe, the people who serve us on crowded planes and all airport staff. Its always manic on and off the planes. Being polite seems to be a dying trait. Mrs gets rude people on her ward, rude patient can be understood, they are ill and probably scared. But rude relations ! This has been a particular thing with Covid, they seem to feel it’s right to disobey the protocol, hugging relations, no masks, wanting to visit on mask, mention it to them and you get a gob full.

Indeed, banning alcohol won't happen as airports link the rent to turnover (LGW). It is clear that the rules need to be enforced. But at present airside drinks establishments don't need a licence, so there is nothing to enforce in the same way that if a premises is known to serve people when drunk or who cause problems having drunk at a particular premises. I believe in enforcement against rule breakers so that those ion us who would like a drink and not misbehave are not penalised for the actions of others

I work for an european airline…most of the people follow these rules, the main problem is when you find the d***head inflight that doesn’t want to follow these rules, problem n2 we can only ask them tu put the mask on and nothing else, it would be better if we can offload people for refusing to wear a face covering.
I don’t wanna be mean but is better to be safe than sorry and go in another lockdown.
