Thanks Clint... yeah it was quick. I wasn't expecting it to arrive until next week. One thing which I have noticed is the the Kai blade issue as described on the site isn't really an issue, sure the Kai blades are a tiny bit tight but could also be described as a good fit. They lift off the posts easy enough.

I'm delighted with my purchase. Kirk and Kyle are so hot on quality control. IMO they set the standard for others to follow.
That is great news James. Always nice to see a company take quality control seriously. Just received a text from the US Post Office indicating delivery scheduled for today. I am pretty excited.

Ah that's good. Hope you're as pleased as I am. It's been sitting on my desk all morning. I'm drooling over it's beauty and craftsmanship.

The General is hands down the smoothest AC/SE razor I've ever used.

I've been very impressed with the Aluminium General and these Brass ones are very tempting especially as the thread on the aluminium one looks a bit 'weak' but Brass is heavier than Stainless Steel and I love the lightness of the Alu one.

Maybe a Titanium one is the answer...

Happly to know you're pleased. When's the first shave?
Lately I have been picking a razor, soap and brush and using them for the entire week. I will break the routine and use the General tomorrow morning. I will then bring it back for all next week.

When is your first shave with the brass General?

Much like me. This week is injector week and l'm resisting the temptation to deviate. Looking forward to seeing your shave report. I'm guessing other than the extra weight the efficiency will be much the same as the aluminium General.

The General
Feather Pro (1)

This morning was the maiden voyage for the brass General. Three passes with minimal touch ups left me with a near perfect shave. The General is one of the smoothest artist club razors I have used. It felt mild but was very efficient. Overall I am very impressed .

Sounds good Clint.
I'd get one if I could afford it. Think I'd be happier with a SS version myself. So will wait for that.

Just out of curiosity what's the weight of the head on its own and the handle on its own?
