I would imagine a tree over one hundred years old would cost a fortune?

Yeah, thousands potentially, there is some beauties on ebay for crazy money...

I got into bonsai a number of years ago, but every plant that comes near me dies. Simple as that.

I really wish I had the time and patience to grow my own, but I just don't. :-(

Real shame as they are stunning.

I have just looked on the bay and there is a tree there priced at £11,500.00

It is an Acer tree. I have one in a pot in my garden bigger than that.

This is my 26 year old Chinese Elm.
The simplest bonsai to take care of and can take some degrees of frost. Takes well to being indoors too but I like to give it some fresh air and wind to strengthen it.

My girlfriend's tree strategically placed at the top of the stairs..I have tripped over it more times than I can remember ..I regularly swear at it and threaten it..and it's still going strong.

This little conifer came from the 39p reduced shelf at Morrissons. Wish I'd taken a 'before' pic, but you know what a conifer looks like. Took a few minutes to make it look like this. Photos don't really do it justice...
