Hey guys,
So I’ve been using Pinaud Clubman forever. Like, embarrassingly long. That plastic bottle has been my ride-or-die. As you knkow it slap of pure alcohol and gives that powdery, old-school barbershop smell. I honestly thought that was as good as it got.
Recently i was gifted a bottle of Noble Otter’s Orbit.
Holy poop!!!! From the first splash, it’s a completely different world. The classic Clubman burn? Gone. Instead, this stuff starts off surprisingly smooth, but then a deep, icy chill starts creeping in over the next few minutes. No sting, just this pure freezing sensation that actually lasts, im talking like 45-60 minutes . My face feels numb in the best way.
The other big difference is how it treats my skin. It feels hydrating. They’ve got witch hazel and aloe so instead of that powdery, stripped feeling, my skin just feels calm and moisturized. No redness either.
And the scent… Clubman is loud as hell. You smell like a 1950s barbershop for 30 minutes . Orbit is much cleaner and subtle. I dont know how else to explain it. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still keep a bottle of Clubman around for those days I want that old-school bite. But for daily use, Orbit is on another level.
Once your face experiences that long-lasting cooling comfort, it’s genuinely hard to go back. The bad news is that now im intrigued by what else is out there.
Its going to be hard to go back to Nivea followed by CM. Anyone else recently make the jump from the classic stuff to artisan aftershaves?
