It was the case. And unfortunately for only lee showing the initiative and interest. I did sadly withdraw. Perhaps premature of me to list the vector without using the shield, yes I can admit that. But with praise coming from every avenue. I did see it a safe venture to let go and carry forward with the shield. Should the shield deliver. The vector will once again go for listing. And conversation taking place only recently. Lee will be notified before the listing to honour his interest. Sincerest respects as always gentleman. J. 💚🥃

I guess I’ve been one of the most vocal in praise of the Shield AC, but not having tried the Vector it’s still an itch to scratch! I honestly haven’t had a bad shave from the Shield, (bar a slightly sub perfect one which was self inflicted messing with the angles I was shaving with!) The Vector seems universally loved though and with the unexpected win of a Blackbird I will likely have the remaining funds to get the Vector soon!

What about Nickel Aluminium Bronze (Lambda razors are made of this)?
Good question! This is one of the materials that we're looking into, but I don't yet know if it's suitable for the Vector. The Vector needs to be made of really strong materials. Even in stainless steel, you can bend the top cap in half with your bare hands so the design is already right on the edge even with something this strong. I'm concerned that anything weaker would be unacceptable.

After being away all week, it was a pleasure to use the Vector again today in my own bathroom. It is a very very fine razor I must admit. Also the OC plate rocks! The Speick Soap, AS en FS brush are also awesome!

I think the Vector with the OC plate is my most efficient (aggressive?) razor at this moment. 2 days of stubble are no match, they are very easily removed. I used it with a Feather Pro blade on it's first outing today, and you can sure feel the blade working. Here and there a bit tugging (especially with the grain, which is not what you would expect). But I know that will become better after the blade's first shave. Very smooth face as a result.

After using the Lupo a lot the last 2 weeks, it was time to pull out the Vector again for #singleedgesunday. Lovely razor. Blade was on its 4th use, but we will never become good friends. 1 small nick, and I could feel the alumn do it's work! Time for the bin, and the rest will be forwarded to someone in the future. Smooth skin, but not comfortable enough for me.

Alright, it's time for an update and some initial thoughts after using the Vector SS for 6 shaves.

In general, when it comes to shaving, I prefer a mild razor with sharp blades, shaving every other day, not necessarily going for a complete bbs, but focusing on comfort and avoiding any skin damage.

Out of the 6 shaves, 5 were with the KAI Pro Touch Guard blades and 1 with the KAI Captain Titan Mild. Spoiler alert: I noticed a difference between these blades, and the KAI Pro Touch blades are exactly what I need.

There's not much more to say. Some people find the Vector aggressive, while others don't. Some use it every day, while others prefer it less frequently. Everyone is different, and the razor's aggressiveness depends on the blades used. I was concerned that even with the mildest blades, the Vector might still feel aggressive to me based on what I read in various threads and forums.

So far, all my shaves with the Vector have been the best experiences in my "wet shaving career". For me, it's the most successful, efficient, beautiful, and comfortable safety razor. It provides excellent feedback during shaving and doesn't harm the skin at all. Achieving a close shave is effortless, with just 2 passes and some touch-ups on the neck.

The most interesting part, and what surprises me the most, is that after every shave with Vector, alcohol-based aftershaves feel like water on the skin. It's simply amazing, something I've never experienced before.

In conclusion, I must say hats off to Shane and all the @Blackland Razors team! After 3+ years of wet-shaving and trying over 50+ safety razors, I've finally found the perfect one for me.
