I love my Blackbird, once it clicks you never look back. I enjoy all the various plates depending on my mood.
Saying all that though, my ATT S1 seems to be my current goto razor.

I’ve often wondered what the Lite plate is like.

I got the Lite plate and the regular plate. Used the lite plate the first few weeks and then moved to the regular plate. There is a difference - the Lite plate is more forgiving.

You might want to ride the cap or the bar so that you can barely tell whether it's working. It might take some getting used to, but there's little to lose in trying it.

I got the lite and standard plate blackbird a month ago. Used the standard plate 3 days and the lite plate the other shaves. I shave daily now. I am liking the lite plate but will try the standard plate again in a couple of weeks. Love the razor. The standard plate shaves were pretty good but just a little blood. I have never felt such efficientcy with relative smoothness if that doesn't sound too crazy.

I have continued using the lite plate and it has really settled down. Unmatched smoothness and efficiency. I will not buy another non - Blackland razor. I am so happy with this ss blackbird.

I'm loving the Blackbird Ti with Lite baseplate for daily shaves, combined with a Personna GEM or Treet Platinum blades. The Blackbird Ti is a marvel. I love the Standard plate too for various days of growth

That looks like the original box the first gen ones came in.

I think its the Kickstarter box if you ordered 2 handles.
