Been as far up the shaving gear acquisition mountain as I needed to go.

Back down at the bottom now shaving with an Edwin Jagger DE89 and happy as a pig in sh1t getting great shaves.

You'll still end up spending the money on something.

Despatched the razor the same day as it sold on Ebay and, to the buyers credit, he did send an Ebay mesage to say he'd collected it from his local Argos the following day. I had a look at his feedback, which is 100%, but noted that in seven years of his membership he's only ever left feedback for one person - so I don't suppose I'll be receiving any myself. I imagine the question of who should leave feedback first... the buyer or the seller... is debatable but in my listing I said I will leave my FB as soon as the buyer acknowledges safe receipt by leaving feedback - I always say that in every listing and it's always been fine.

I always make a point of sending stuff in pristine condition and always email a Royal Mail receipt to show it's been sent and always box items up really well. This item was double boxed and stuffed with bubble wrap and the Blackbird tin was wiped spotless with a microfibre cloth and wrapped in tissue.

However, the bottom line is... it's gone and I'm sure he'll be happy to have got a spotless Blackbird in the space of two days... and I only dropped a few quid on it. So, hopefully, we're all sorted.

Thanks for the advice etc. on this one. Always welcomely received.

Everyone has different ideas on feedback - both eBay and B/S/T on forums.

As a seller, I will often leave feedback when a prompt payment was received and looks like honest buyer
As a buyer, my feedback will vary based prompt shipping and item quality - from Nice Seller to WOW!! really Happy Buyer
If only 90% satisfied, no feedback

Some people just don't leave feedback, don't worry about it.
No, and after seven years of never leaving FB for anyone I hardly think he's likely to start now. I've deleted the details from my Ebay page now, so even if he did leave me FB I don't think I could return the favour as all the details of the transaction have gone. With the benefit of hindsight I should probably have left it on my pages for a bit longer just in case he decided he didn't want it and asked to return it.

No, I did state in the body of the description that returns are not accepted and I've never had it crop up - it also said the same in the Ebay terms that they pre-print on the selling page ..... but I suppose there's always a first time. I guess I'd just have to accept whatever neg. FB he might leave when I refused to take it back. It's odd that sellers are refused the facility to leave any neg. FB for a bad buyer, but that seems to be the way it is. Never had any bad feedback received since joining in Nov. 2004 and hoping it stays that way.

I wish I had the energy to sell mine as I could do with some funding. My mk1 has been used less then 10 times and I just CBA to sell it. I'm just thinking along the lines of: maybe one day I will get on with it, or I might just keep it for my son to sell when I am pushing up daisies like...

The Blackbird SB is one of my favorite DEs, Up there in esteem with Wolfman, Timeless and Razorock Wunderbar in my rotation. Obviously, YMMV. When Shane finally is back in stock I will have an OC coming to the den.
