Best Cordless Vacuum Cleaner?

Not had a cordless. I hate the idea of binning things when the battery dies.
I had a dyson for about twenty years i think.
It was brilliant at vacuuming (nearly wrote hoovering)
A few easy repairs, but then eventually I think the plastic degraded and things kind of broke.
I gave up when the handle snapped and a bit of the base.
Went back to my henry as well that I have no idea how old it is, but pre my Dyson.
Not as good at sucking, but good enough. I only have short carpets and all wood downstairs.
Replaced the brushes on it so far.

Interested to hear what people say, I have a 1800W 240V corded vacuum that has plenty of suck and 100% relaiable over 10 years ownership. I know I am an old cynic but I would be surprised if a battery powered machine can match it, am I wrong?
Machine is an upright Samsung. I had a Dyson Ball vacuum at my London flat and it was not good at all, that was replaced by a Miele which was great

Nah - I learnt to tune that out years and years ago.
After recommending the VAX, the battery has just seemingly died. It is only lasting about 10 mins. But after speaking to VAX CS, they are picking the unit up on Monday and it will be repaired, refurbished and/or replaced. Can't fault them...
