Old Tom, Old Peculier, well, there's a theme developing here. I (remarkably) vividly remember a pub night about 30+ years ago where I drank 3 and a half pints of Owd Rodger. They don't even sell it in pints now. Why 3 and a half? There were 3 of us, 1 was driving, I was the last to get the round in, and after 2 pints I had forgotten that the round was 2 Owd Rodger and a Coke. Bought 3 pints and of course the extra pint had to be shared between me and my other buddy. Barman was laughing so hard. It took me a week to be able to remember any of it but now I can't forget it. The pub was the Royal Standard of England in Forty Green, Beaconsfield. A very good pub that's still there, and still sells OR, though in smaller glasses now. It weighs in at 7.4%.
