Those sold are much saner prices:

I don't know why sellers do it but i've seen the same thing a few times over the years, a low value item at an incredibly high price with a few previously sold at a normal price... Do they hike the price so nobody sane will buy it whilst they await new stock to save themselves relisting fees?

Some sellers use automated listing software with dynamic pricing. Occasionally it loses the plot

Either that, what @SeanC said, or they're taking advantage of free marketing.
Some sellers, particularly of some brands, do this on Amazon, too.
It's not dissimilar to an approach where some sellers would start selling something at a really good price (think a 10th of the RRP), then, after flooding the Deal of the Day page a couple of times, when the product gets enough good reviews, they hike the prices. Typically double or triple them.
Then, they have a well rated product some people rave about for being good 'for the money' and if they choose to do so, they bump the price up on occasion. That is, until another re-brand from another OEM starts selling the same stuff at the same or lower price. Although, sometimes those 'other' ones would appear and cost twice as much as the 'original' did, likely taking advantage of the other one's mostly decent reputation.
Shenanigans. :-P

Anybody know of any bargain razor handles going in New Year sales? I'm after something not too heavy - 50-70g ideally - and maybe something in more of a bamboo sculpted style. Titanium would be nice. Would consider anything I could fit on a 1912, SE1 or Rockwell 6C.

The English Shaving Company (Edwin Jagger) has 15% off everything, which gives a total of 20% off when combined with the 5% new user discount. If you've been on the fence about buying some MdC or Pannecrema for example, now is the time
Can any of the mDC soaps be classed as 'Aventus Similar'?
