I have yet to use it, but can say with 90% certainty that it has the same hair as the Omega Evo. What I prefer with the G5A is that a. the knot it slightly smaller, b. The top of the knot is nicely rounded (my Evo had a flat part at the top) and c. when set at 52mm (Andrew‘s recommendation), the glue bump is hardly noticeable

These are the new formulations with increased scent strength across the entire range, and these are definitely projecting brilliantly just from the tub alone. Even Dave (purported to be the lightest in scent) is a 5-6 out of the tub. I’d imagine if you were disappointed before these will change your mind.

Had my first try out last week, was suitably impressed. Plate 1 was very mild, plate 2 better. I used my go to Perma Sharp as always with any new razor. Very efficient but needs a little bite 💀 so up the game to a Feather yesterday with plate # 2 and wow, super efficient, BBS shave. Delighted 😃

Only one shave in but I had a great shave with it today, using a Gillette Spoiler on it's 7th use. I find it sits somewhere around both the Nodachi & the Blackbird in terms of face feel and efficiency, both of which happen to be my favorite razors. Really happy with the purchase, and can only hope that we continue to enjoy this razor in future shaves :).
