I have no issues using either SB or OC in Karve, but I do prefer the OC.
Interesting discussion. For me there is no definite answer to which plate I prefer. Sometimes OC feels better, sometimes SB. Perhaps it depends on the season and the effect this has on the skin? Best to hang onto all of them as they‘re not too expensive in brass anyway.

Which length handle did you go for David?

Topping up the frag collection with Azzaro Wanted By Night. Something I have wanted for a while now.
Also got some nice samples to try, Penhaligon's Endymion & Sartorial, PDM Herod & ADP Yuzu.
I haven't smelled any of these, Azzaro was a blind buy as I liked the original. I'll be testing later.

After testing Sartorial it is a must buy, stunning, amazing, fantastic!
Very happy with the Azzaro, it has the dna of the original, projects strong & the bottle is cool!
Sartorial is the dogs danglies. Amazing refined scent.

The complete set of soaps from Løthur Grooming. Thanks to @LTHURJONNY for getting them to me so quickly! These are the new formulations with increased scent strength across the entire range, and these are definitely projecting brilliantly just from the tub alone. Even Dave (purported to be the lightest in scent) is a 5-6 out of the tub. I’d imagine if you were disappointed before these will change your mind.

Cant wait to shave tomorrow!

Alignment looks great from a quick blade-less check. I’ll check again once I’ve loaded a blade up later on. Weight is heavy but it feels balanced, nothing that’s going to be uncomfortable to shave with. A really nice little package for £60.
That looks ok to be fair, great for £60. Personally I don’t like clones, think it takes away from the people who actually design, but in the other hand it’s great to have something for people to get, especially if it might beat the original.

I agree, and having owned a Rex there’s not a comparison really. The Rex is beautifully built, it’s a really good quality piece of craftsmanship. This is nice but it’s obviously cutting corners. Sadly the Rex never worked for me so hoping this is a lower price alternative that will be smoother. I do think it’s a good deal but I suppose it’s a bit like Yaqi brushes. You’re cutting corners and saving money but there’s no soul to it.
