Thanks Nishy.. didn't know Mennen did a balm? Loving the look of the I Coloniali balm..is it the soothing one or the hydro-repairing one that has menthol?

It's a good idea...but as I understand it..(and I could be wrong, I am no expert) menthol crystals aren't so good for the skin in pure form?

I'm no chemist but I use the pharmaceutical grade crystals in all my splashes and haven't had any issues with my skin.

You could give them a try and see how they behave in balms and on your skin. They are cheap as chips.
Diluting them in a balm may be a bit challenging though. I would suggest crushing one crystal to powdery form and mix some in a small quantity of balm first.

Yep mennen is mint flavoured. Icoloniali was actually a sample so couldn't honestly tell you but it is quite mentholated.

They're soluble in oil. I mix mine with argan oil, which is a fairly well-balanced and not particularly comedogenic carrier oil.
