Are Facebook Marketplace Ads Even Real?!?

Lately I've been seeing stuff that would ordinarily go for thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars just a few years ago advertised for a fraction of what I thought they would. For instance, a 1947 Mercury Convertible that, going by the photos anyway, looks REALLY good, is being sold for a mere $25,000.

I'm not sure I believe these prices. If a vintage automobile is in as good a condition as the photos show, why only twenty-five grand? A 1927 Chevy Capital Double-A Coupe is selling for $14,500. Seriously? I could understand if the vehicles were in less than pristine condition, but the photos suggest they're well kept. Am I out of touch or did I miss something in the vintage car market?

As the old saying goes "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is"

Likely to be either:
a) a scam attempt to get your bank details / your money

b) an attempt to get you to go somewhere with cash where you can be robbed at gunpoint or

c) a "come on" designed to draw you into conversation so they can tell you "unfortunately that one sold, but we have a similar one at a great price"
i.e the car in the photos never existed as a sale item, it was just to get your interest

T'was ever thus.
