Anyone know of a slant more aggressive that a Merkur 37C

Other options could be trying a sharper blade (Feather perhaps?) or shimming the blade to increase the blade gap (increases efficiency.)

I have been shaving with a credit card sized shim for a week now at least. It has certainly increased the efficiency of the 37C. The first shims I tried were quite thin and the difference was negligible.
Then I made the serious mistake of trying to focus on decreasing the time of my shave with the first shave of a credit card shim.
Took a massive chunk of skin off the back of my head. That blade gap certainly commands respect. However I have been taking my time and adjusting things with my daily headshaves and have found that this is a lot better.
The WTG pass actually does something now. Whereas before, I don't know if it was the thickness of the hair or what but, it was really hard to get any efficiency.
Anyway at least I know that for a good headshave I'm going to need quite an aggressive razor.

Shaving station have one on stock
. PAA alpha ecliptic has really caught my eye. I don't have that kind of money to spend right now. But it is so tempting. I Will certainly keep my eye out to see if one comes up second hand on eBay or something.

Does it have to be a slant? The Yaqi Knight Helmet is supposed to be crazy aggressive!

Exactly. There is no proof that Slants cut closer. A Parker 97R or any closed comb Parker will do the job easily! I

Wow. This knight helmet is certainly coming highly recommended. I'm going to have another look into that.
Just a reminder of the blade, it is not so tight between the baseplate and top cap so it may be stretched more.

Just out of curiosity why do you say a closed comb? It's my understanding that open combs are more aggressive.
Not all of them are more aggressive.
For example Merkur 41c is not even near as aggressive as a Parker 97R let's say, or a Yaqi Scalloped Head. (Both closed combs).

The blade gap plays an important role here and you need a bigger blade gap.

A Qshave or a Merkur Futur or a Progress or a Parker Variant (all adjustables) would help here if you put them on the highest setting.

That is lovely looking, but you're right... It's a bit steep. I'm not on the BST yet. But when I am... And when it reopens... Maybe we will see if we can negotiate something
These don't appear to be easy to find in the UK
:(
Check out Connaught Shaving - they sell the B1 head separately and also offer a forum discount (details of which are in the thread below):

The B1 Slant is definitely a notch up from a 37c and gives a less smooth (but more aggressive) shave.

The PAA Alpha Ecliptic is similar, but is harsher (in my experience) than the B1.

Shaving Station appears to have one PAA Alpha Ecliptic in stock and also offers a competitive price on the B1.

I found the ATT S2 too aggressive for my liking but love the S1 (it is smoother and less efficient than the 37c).

The Wunderbar is a great razor and I really like mine. I'm not keen on Razorock handles and find that it works perfectly with a heavier handle like a Timeless Plaid handle, for example.

Good luck with your search. :)
