Still mulling. Those prepaid mastercards look interesting though.

In what way? Revolut is fantastic...Looked into the prepaid cards and they open up a whole new area of shysters I wasn’t aware of. I only had trouble once with a credit card online before and that turned out to be a purchase I had made and forgotten about. Adding new cards to my arsenal will spell Trouble.![]()

I think there was a £5 delivery charge for the card. You can upgrade to the "Metal Card" for a small fee, can't remember what this give you though. From then on its free. No charges on cash withdrawal, both here and abroad. Free transactions, chip and pin & contactless, both here and abroad. It automatically converts into the correct currency for where you are and gives you the best conversion rate. I used it exclusively in Benidorm early this year. Was there a set up fee for the Revolut card? This was one of the better options I found. I may get one for all future online purchases which can’t be achieved with Paypal. Do you get charged using it online or is it ATMs?
This puts the wind up me.I bought off AE for about a year. Many items, and payments with no problems...then suddenly after buying on AE I noticed some airline tickets were bought using my credit card.
'Not me' I told the Bank. They checked and refunded the amount ($640) back to my account, plus issued a new card.
A couple of weeks later I bought again off AE and that same day my new credit card was hit with a $90 charge (from Shanghai).
'Not me' I told the Bank. Once again a new card issued and the charge was reversed.
I then emailed AE and finally managed to 'chat' with a real person (not their usual 'robot' who tries to understand English but fails badly).
I got my message across that their system was broken. Either been hacked, or they have a dodgy employee working there.
Haven't been back there.
Twice in a row is too much for me.
You may have more luck than I did.
If you do buy by CC check your Bank account details regularly for a while after to see if any 'extra' charges pop up.
Sounds good Lee. I just realised that I may have trouble getting one as living on the edge of society I have practically none of the usual ID stuff. My Mam & Dad and my Brother and wife travel a lot more than me and both use Revolut cards exclusively whilst abroad.
I really rate it...
I can't actually recall needing any ID to be honest...This puts the wind up me.
