Aftershave Balms

MPH

Forum GOD!
Hi everyone

After a very long time of using up my stash I find myself in need of more aftershave balm. I'm not looking for one that is paired with a particular soap, just a stand alone product.

I haven't bought for quite some time, but often used to just buy the Nivea stuff that was always on sale in a supermarket which to be fair was pretty good.

I was just wondering if anyone had any particular favourites or recommendations that would be worth looking into?

Thanks. :)

If you're form Norfolk England, try Ziaja, Alverde and/or Seinz balms from the DM stores. Be noted that Alverde and Seinz go rancid/stale if kept in heat above 25 degrees Celsius, so don't stock them. I bought all three together and both went bad during the summer because i haven't used them often enough. The Ziaja survived the summer and still works great. All three have mild scents, i use a balm before the splash, but not imediately, i leave it to soak up in the skin.
If you're form Norfolk Viginia, our US collegues in shaving can help you more than me...

Hear me out…

The Olay Beauty Fluid your mum and your nan use makes for a decent balm. £6.50 for 200ml from most supermarkets and chemists. I use the Sensitive version.

I've posted this on your other post as well.

I'm currently using the Cremo Cooling Post Shave Balm. It's excellent!
It's very cooling and soothing, and easily absorbed. I much prefer it to Nivea. I got a couple of bottles on offer on their website.
If you look around you can find it cheaper. Just to note, it is quite "cooling" though not a face freezer.

I've linked it below.

Zingari man aftershave Serum, which comes unscented is very good as is their Sego balm for heavier use in winter.

Barrister and Mann makes an excellent balm. I use the unscented from time to time. And of course there’s the old tried and true shea butter. As they say, a little dab’ll do ya.

Thank you. I am from Norfolk England, but don't think I've seen a DM store.... I keep an eye out from now on though. :)

The Proraso Green Balm works well for me; it's cheap and easy to find, fresh, and doesn't interfere with the scent of the soap or the lotion. It also doesn't leave me with any greasy feeling after using it.
