After Shave Balm

I'm reviving this thread..

Castle Forbes 1445 shave cream just arrived. The scent fits me to a tee! There is a matching balm available, so since I find the scent so enjoyable, I plan to order it.
Now, do you gents that use balms use it in place of an aftershave splash, before it, or in some other manner?

Great choice, 1445 is a wonderful scent and along with Lavender my favourite of the Castle Forbes lineup. I’m generally a balm user except for the hottest of weather. I use witch hazel then follow with some balm once it’s dried. I would do the same with a splash. Enjoy
