Not shaving relating in the least - but it was great to get my brass spinner in the mail yesterday.
Played around with it most of Sunday while doing errands - and having beers - downtown in the sun. Fun, harmless fidgety stuff.

I picked these two up today at a shop I hadn't been too before. I'm hoping I stumbled onto a coticule. It's smooth and has only a couple of light scratches that will lap out easily. Can any of you help me with identification of the stone?View attachment 3153

It certainly looks like a coticule - with a natural BBW backing (Belgian Blue). The blue side is lower grit than the coticule but both sides can be used if lapped properly.

Received this rather neat NOS/unused, vintage butterscotch Kent V5B brush.
Sadly, for the brush, its days of being unused will soon end.

I received some vintage Rawleigh's shaving soap. I plan to grate it and pack it into a covered bowl. It has absolutely no scent. None. So I'll need to add some cologne or aftershave to it, either while grating or with each shave. I've heard that it produces excellent lather. And it was cheap.

I like that they, as expected, are making a very modular offering of this razor as well.

The 'head kit' consisting of one top cap, SE1 base plate and SE2 base plate for $199 (w/ free US shipping) - is rather interesting;

Yep a decent price I bought the base plate alone having the full SE1. No customs charges and looks good, machining marks are evident and it looks like micro protrusions or scalloped, as opposed to a full open comb plate, as you would find with most DE OC plates (given the larger lade width).

This was waiting for collection from the sorting office - I placed an order many months ago but on an old company email address that I can no longer access, it was so long ago that I assumed it wasn't going to happen. Anyway, I'm pleased that it came through eventually - it's a 26 knot set at 52mm.
