A good mail day.
Some vintage Aramis JHL aftershave, to go with the matching shaving soap. It smells fantastic.


And some vintage Gillette 'Swedes,' for which I traded. Great blades. He was kind enough to also include some Wizamet Super Iridiums as a gift.

Finally got my Irish Fern!

The box looked like it had been to hell and back but everything inside was none the worse for wear.

It smells very much like the Pen's English Fern tallow.
(I have some -thanks John- and sniffed them both.)

I'm honestly not sure that - if the colors of the two soaps were the same - I could tell which is which by smell alone. They aren't perfectly identical. The Pen's is obviously not fresh as it's been off the market for a few years now. They really are more alike than they are different to me.

Did a test lather and I washed my hands with the suds to see how things worked out. Nice and thick soapy lather that is really quite slick. Scent strength is not overpowering nor wimpy either.

Been catching a whiff of the back of my hand since the test lather every so often and it's still great.

Smells slightly brighter than the English Fern if I had to describe how they compare. It is subtlety different in a good way.

Looking forward to tomorrow's shave.

Finally I have bought at Bomarzo64.com in Spain, and after I tried Classic 24 yesterday, it has been my choice

Honlong DE razor. Needed to make £5 on card, bought this. Finish is pretty poor, it has a lazy door and the tell tale own brand blade, comes in a case which is a plus and cost under £1.50. Could be the best shave I've ever had. Will find out this evening.

Just received my big box of Eufros soaps from Manuel, shipping was very fast. Wife as always wanted to smell the new soaps, here words: This is pure love in a tin!
Shaved with the Gea this morning, very very nice! Wife demanded that I buy all scents I didn't have at once, she even offered to pay for it when I said but honey I already have so many soaps

I have the Gea, it is one of my favourite soaps .........What other one did you get ?
