This is the '80s and timeless. It has one of the most complex fragrance note combinations I have ever seen.

Top Notes: Fresh lavender, lemon, bergamot, rosemary, basil, and mint.
Heart Notes: Juniper, coriander, wormwood, angelica, and jasmine.
Base Notes: Oakmoss, leather, pine needles, cedar, patchouli, and vetiver.

It’s a Michigan quarter. Between 1999 an 2008, the US Mint issued a series of coins to support the coin collecting hobby.

I wanted one to add to the front of my US layout that is set in Michigan, to add atmosphere. This one came from a chap in Boston, US, who is on a model car forum I frequent.

But if it's the "new formulation" the sillage and duration are 15-20 minutes the most.

Your Not wrong about the longevity. Now it might have been from some bean counter trying to sell more product or it might be from all the ingredients that are no longer available because they are now banned, too expensive, or just not available. Canoe was never a power house but it doesn't last nearly as long as it did in the '70s. It was still worth buying for the nostalgia.

Simpson Chubby 1 platinum fibre.

I spent the weekend reading through the Simpson brush appreciation thread and was fascinated by all the variation in loft height. Thought I’d check this one just for fun. Looks like 44mm to me. Simpsons stated loft is 46mm. I’m perfectly fine with this of course. All fibres look to be pointy side up. Looks and feels very similar to Muhle STF to me. Excited to try it out later today.

Alongside my Rocnels, this is THE crown jewel of my collection. I cannot wait for the first shave on Saturday — AD No. 7 with 1.1mm vs. WR2 with 1.35mm. Which one will take the crown?
