Mondial 1908 (large) Crosby ecoSilvertip.
I’m instantly a huge fan of this handle design.
The knot size falls right in the middle of what I’m used to, at 22.5mm (between Muhle’s 21mm and 23mm STF). Something odd that I noticed though. A lot of the fibres look like they’ve been trimmed, more squared-off than tapered. Used this morning, it shed only one fibre but it was pure white, lacking any black or even an obvious point, leading me to suspect these are assembled a little more casually than Muhle knots.
Even the first use was just fine though. It’s a great handle size and knot shape. Possibly a little skritchier than the STF, but I probably shouldn’t say on a first use. I’m a fan. It’ll go into my small rotation.
The aftershave is nice enough. If you like lemon-drop Martinis you’ll love Original Citrus.
