A dog eared shaving kit of absolutely no interest bar the shave stick enclosed. Not in the best of conditions wrapper wise but it has retained the scent so I'll have a go of it when I get the chance - I do have a mile long queue of soaps and creams to try out/ use up though so it could be a while.

Received this very nice New Forest Tubby 2 w/ 26mm two-band knot - in the mail yesterday:

Luckily, I really like this shape of brush handles:

@Acer89 Have a go at lathering the 1912 before you shave with it. There's a sweet spot you hit with the sheen so you want to be getting that sorted before you shave, to get the full effect. Add drops of water very slowly to your bowl and take your time, 3 - 4 mins makes all the difference and your face will thank you for it.
You'll soon notice that the scent actually improves when lathered. I'm glad you like the Parma Violet, it really is an amazing scent.

Thanks for the tip. As soon as l opened the container it reminded me of those violet sweets l had as a child. The scent is fresh, natural and somehow captivating.
In my limited experience lve also come to learn a good lather does develop a glistening sheen so lm happy to work the brush until this is achieved.

There are some excellent soaps out there and lots more l haven't yet tried. For me the test is....... Would l buy it again? Would l miss it if it wasn't in my den?

1912 oozes quality and it's immediately obvious it's a high end product. I have a feeling this could be one of my favourites. First outing will be tomorrow and l'll take heed of your advice. Thanks.

Haha she loves the scent so I doubt it It really is a great product from the magnetic top to the presentation box, it oozes quality. If this gets thrown I'm catching it!

Thanks Chris, £47 and a few pence with free postage which I thought was not to bad in this day and age for a fatboy. It's a shame razors can't talk as it would be interesting to learn of it's journey from the US to Argentina.

Did you by any chance ask if the fatboy was sold in other markets apart from the US?

I didn't but I know they were sold in the UK because my Dad bought one and they must have been exported worldwide.

£47 is an amazing price for a Fatboy these days. I'm trying to get hold of one, can't imagine how I missed that one.
