Ach Brito Lavanda shaing cream

I was interested in Ach Brito Lavanda but never tried it because I noticed it contains silicone and I worry that this would build up on my brush knots and eventually ruin them. I’ve avoided Lothur soaps for the same reason. I suppose I could just use it with synthetic brushes and then it shouldn’t matter. Maybe there’s no reason to worry but I’d hate to risk an expensive badger brush for the sake of a cream.
I take it that it is the potassium silicate ingredient that you are referring to. From the little I have read about it, it is water soluble. That being the case a good rinsing should remove it from a shaving brush knot. As far as I know it has not adversely effected any of my badger, boar or synthetic shaving brush knots. OTH, if there is a concern then why take a chance.

Actually I meant dimethicone, but now that I look at the ingredients it isn’t there. I must be thinking of another soap. Apologies if I wrongly impugned the Ach Brito.

The Spanish are excellent at using good amounts of Lanolin in their creams and soaps and it would appear that their Iberian neighbours, the Portuguese, are just as adept.
In the creation of lather, LEA anything is an excellent choice from stick to soap and cream.
The Ach Brito Lavanda remains on my list and I’ll get to it one day along with a big bottle of their AS, cologne or whatever it is. Even if it’s just for that gorgeous bottle.
