folk, I really like the tonic (or what ever it ends up being called). my face was re-hydrated and felt smooth. could be one for me as an alternative to Thayers!!

I quite like the "post shave tonic" sort of does what it says on the tin. I still need the alcohol though...

I'm also liking the tonic, if I were to describe it as anything it would be a tonic. I also like the fact it has no alcohol. I wouldn't change anything with it.

And with that you've hit the nail right on the head.

Ours is a more involved version of Thayer's that offers more healing power via the inclusion of chamomile extract, allantoin and ashwatanga extract.

I gave both the tonic and Solaris solid EDC a run this weekend.

The tonic is very good. I used it post shave following an interesting run in with a Gillette #16 and 7 O'clock Yellow which is quite an aggressive pairing and my skin certainly felt calmed afterwards. It will be interesting to see how it copes with the elements this time of year as I didn't really venture out following my shave on Saturday.

As for the Solaris EDC. I got an initial very strong hit of fruit not too far removed from my son's Minions EDC which then went through a citronella phase before mellowing out. The scent lasted for about 3 hours. Whilst I like the fragrance in isolation, this is one to test a little more before forming an opinion. I'm also curious as to whether bees wax has the potential to mark clothes?

Ok the scent is making sense with the allantoin and ashwatanga extract. hmmmm. has anyone else picked up on this?

Thanks Sean. We use white refined beeswax 1: to eliminate the honey like scent unrefined beeswax can give off and 2: to avoid staining.

P&B tonic has an interestingscent, hard to place, but as a post shave is top notch, very nourishing and moisturising even with a small amount and it was replacing my Thayers Aloe WH, Speick AB and Speick AS, so three jobs and it seemed to do it well!

The Imperial Rum solid cologne unfortunately was a bust for no other reason than I wasn't particularly keen on the scent (lots of cloves) and neither was the Mrs who ordered me to wash it off.

R.E airport security, I was asked to show them how I would apply it, showed them and they said I should have marked it as a liquid/cream and put it in the little clear bag. No issues getting g through though! (This was after I'd been pulled over for a full bag search because of the razors)

Morning everyone,

Please keep your surveys coming in; so far I've had 6 completed. @Looney12345 glad to hear the solid didn't cause you any issues at the airport. Oh, YMMV but Imperial Rum contains no clove (it could have been the small amount of cinnamon).
