It would be better if it was a tad cheaper. 20$ with scent is a perfect deal.

The Nai runs for 32$ I think?
Yes, but totally worth the price. Hard 5oz soap that should last up to twice as long as Siero. Nai is skincare at its best for me. Siero is a shaving soap shipped (like Milksteak) with too much water. Goes fast unfortunately.

How many shaves did you get from the Siero?

I 3017 Siero. 21 shaves. Head and face so more real estate. I should get up to 45 or so shaves from the Nai.

Milksteak is a great product but goes quick. It’s not a soap in my opinion but a shaving cream through and through. I don’t know why Declaration Grooming calls it a soap. A bit of false advertising.

Many of the recent releases have had very limited number of uses per tub: B&M Glissant and soft-heart (at least he is warning about soft-heart); Wholly Kaw Seiro; All the Grooming Dept (maybe Nai is an exception) Declaration Milksteak; and maybe others I've missed.

I wonder if it's simply that fact us users then overload and shave with four or five times as much as is needed that makes the soap seem so good.

I definitely overload Paul. But I still believe that a soap should last 40-50 shaves even with overloading.

I don't expect MdC result but at least some good 4 pass shaves

B&M Glissant I feel is reasonable in terms of usage per tub, but DG Milksteak and Murphy & McNeill whilst being stellar performers do get used up rather fast

If you thought Milksteak's list of ingredients was long, check out the one from Grooming Dept Aion (Nai formula):
Aloe Vera Juice, Stearic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Cupuacu Butter, Mango Butter, Camelina Oil, Fragrance, Marshmallow Extract, Glycerine, Cera Alba, Sunflower Lecithin, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Larch Arabinogalactan, Tara Gum, Erythritol, Glucomannan (Konjac root), Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Silk Peptides, Propanediol, Beta Sitosterol, Hydrolyzed Whey Protein, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium hydroxide, Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Betaine, Sasha Inchi Oil, Meadofoam Oil, Allantoin, Argan Oil, Shea Olein, Oleic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Colloidal Oatmeal, Sucrose Cocoate, Sodium Gluconate, Calendula Extract, Ceramide 3, Liquorice Root Extract, Beta Glucan, Broccoli Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Hyaluronic Acid, Grape Seed Extract, Chamomile Extract, Sea Kelp Extract, Green Tea Extract, Alpha Bisabolol, Inositol, Histidine, Lysine, Arginine, Sodium PCA, Sodium Alginate, Aspen Bark Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf extract, Phospholipids, Resveratrol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)
I do agree that Milksteak is a very soft soap base, but it's not a cream in my opinion. There are certain things that make a soap a soap and a cream a cream and it's not just the softness. Also, I have used a few creams in the past (TOBS and Proraso) and those were WAY softer than Milksteak.

That being said: if you really want a soap to last, the only option is a triple-milled soap in my opinion. But let's be honest here. We probably all have way too much soap, so being able to empty a tub faster can also be considered as an advantage.

I find my empty MDC tubs a disadvantage 😂

I wish I could empty a tub of soap for once. It's probably been 2 years since I've emptied one. Last and only tub I've emptied so far was Proraso white. It would probably take me 10 years to empty a tub of MDC.
10 lifes you mean king Cobra. I can't even finish a PAA Cavendish!
