cool how muhc did you pick up your muhle r41 for? if you dont mind me asking mate

yea price range does seem really good between £30-£40 for a brand new de razor
It was £30+ something I seem to remember. It's as mint as the day I got it too. The chrome on Muhle razors is spot on.

Try a Gillette Fat Boy or Slim at a #9 setting or a regular Fatip OC.

@N0ggie i also understand that the earlier muhle r41 are slightly more efficent and aggresive, is that right?
It depends on what your definition of a reasonable price is. I'll assume sub $75 USD. My first reactions would be R41, Fatip/Schone, or wide Open Fatboy or Progress.

I don't think the Slim shaves the same as the Fatboy, despite their similarities. The head geometries are slightly different. The Fatboy is more aggressive.

I've heard the QShave razors and other clones aren't as aggressive as the Futur that they're based on. Never tried any of the clones myself though.

The earlier versions of the Fatip are more aggressive than the current generation. They also suffer from more blade alignment issues than the current generation.

Yes, the earlier version of the R41 is more aggressive, but it's also rare. You aren't going to find them on a store shelf, and you'll rarely see them on the BSTs.

The iKon ShaveCraft Tek is more aggressive than the R41, but suffers from more blade chatter because of it.

The PAA Ascension Select can get fairly aggressive if you open it up.

If you don't mind Single Edge razors, the Micromatic Open Comb and the Shovel Head (EverReady 1914) are both great.

There are a number of Chinese razors that might fit the bill as well. I have the DSCosmetic Z0, which is a stainless take on the R41.

Many will suggest the Blackbird. It's not in the same league as the ones I mentioned above.

Nice one for the suggestions,
Only heard of the dscosmetic shaving brushes, didn't know they did razors too, is that through AliExpress too?

DSCosmetic Z0 - cheap (for stainless steel) and more aggressive than the R41. It was a beast, which is why I sold it.
Bit too much for you to use on a regular?
