As you know I've raved about the MS 30mm silver tip in terms of quality and density. Today, I used the 26mm Memphis for the first time and although I'm not all together disappointed it didn't appear to have the backbone and density as the 30mm. OK so I know its a smaller knot but I expected a similar performance as the 30mm but in a slightly smaller knot. The overall quality is still very good but I rate the 30mm higher. To me the 26mm silver tip is very soft without a great deal of backbone whereas the 30mm silver tip appears extra dense with superior backbone. The cut on all three brushes is outstanding.
I'm no brush expert, I just thought I'd mention my findings.
For my next MS purchase I'll be trying the 2-band, hopefully in the 'ATG Group Buy' HERE

They are the same (I have both also), but the black one looks used while the ivory looks unused.James, the black handle one looks massive compared to the ivory. Great-looking brushes.
