I'm pretty sure that references to 'Italian' are just generic and that the bottles marked Spain were actually made there. It's very strange that both the original Italian made version and now this Spanish one have both been discontinued. Perhaps there is some dispute as to Trade marks or whatever. My understanding is that the Italian brands and Spanish brands were separated even though both used the Floid name. Anyway, I read that Williams Aqua Velva is a good substitute so I've ordered some and will let you have an opinion.
But the 400ml Blue has always been referred to as the Italian, as I understand it. I don’t think I have seen a Floid Blue aftershave in any other form. I shot off an email to Colomer Group asking just now. Let’s see if they respond and that in an informative manner.

Look forward to hearing about Williams Aqua Velva. That is the European/Spanish version referred to in the US forums, I suppose.

Incidentally, just saw this: Figaro Blue Aftershave. https://hairmaker.gr/en/eau-de-colo...igaro-pump-spray-aftershave-cologne-blue.html

Massive haul indeed, and quite a few items I’d happily be in possession of myself! What’s in the ceramic bowls in the middle, two white and one black?

Well, I can say that (for me) Williams Aqua Velva is something completely different than the Spanish or Italian Floids.

Thanks @Gordy It may not be to everyone's taste but I really like the combination of resin and natural wood.
The first shave brushes I really liked the look of were the burr wood and blue resin handles on Rod Neep's site. That's that's a lovely shape too, will look really well when set.

The Spanish version of the Aqua Velva is an aroma very similar to the American version, softer, less menthol and perhaps more refined.

I personally do not like the Floid and I do not like it in any of its versions.

Some time ago I had a bottle of Floid Blue and it smelled like hairspray.

For properties and for aroma I prefer Aqua Velva from very far (of course, always to my taste)

Sounds like you had the hair tonic as it smells very like hairspray. The aftershave is quite different, more towards the other Floid products.
