Borrowing the idea for the thread from @Celar36 :)

    Best: BBS-1.

"The DE razor that killed my DE RAD."
    Worst: Asylum Rx.

"I was disappointed in the finish and the performance is just on par with most similar SE razors. Not worth the premium price tag"

    Best: EJ Georgian brush.

"I bought from @N_Architect - I really love this brush even though it's a bit floppy"
    Worst: Later e-Shave model.

    Quite a shedder.

    Best: Wickham 1912 soap.

"Really enjoying this - stellar performance and am loving the scents"
    Worst: B&M Le Petit Chypre

"Performance is ok but truly disliked the scent in both the A/S and shaving soap"

@Darkbulb cheers, I was too lazy to copy and paste via my mobile:)

For my this year in shaving is disappointment.

Many of you know I chase one razor for long without luck(Not wolfman, 3 years) too painful to name it

Hope 2017 will be the Year.

No worries - some of my best work comes from copying others :)

Not purchased much this year. Best purchase was Wickham 1912, great stuff.

Best: Schick L1 injector - Shaves so well it feels like cheating. I could go exclusive.
Worst: Semogue 610 brush - Sadly, I now reach for my synthetics over boar.

Best: Wickham 1912 - Gentle formula, effortless lather and well-executed fragrances.
Worst: Phoenix & Beau - I didn't enjoy the scents I've tried and both irritated my skin.

I haven't bought much this year so it's all relative. I actually quite enjoy the 610 and I'll more than likely give P&B another chance.

Edited to add some context and explanation.

Razor, soap, brush, aftershave, frag, hair tonic ...

    Best -

Ever Ready 1912 Sun Ray Set (Minter) ... best purchase ever!
Wickham's 1912 ... any of 'em, but Citrus Musk is a clear favourite
Cheapo boar knots from Gan Village Green (China) paired with cheapo resin handle
Brut Passion Aftershave ... an aftershave just like my attars and a real pick up of my favourite hair tonic
Attars! Arabian Perfume Oils ... What a thoroughly engrossing ride that was! Bakhoor and Muattar swiftly followed ...
Pinaud Eau de Quinine Hair Tonic ... great scent, great feel, light hold, natural looking ... champion!

    Worst -

Schick Golden 500 ... it's no secret I don't much like injectors, but this was especially bad
Xpec Shaving Cream ... what a crock!
Vie Long American Style Horse ... should have known, I've used horse before. Still, excellent handle!
No bad aftershave purchases to speak of ...
Dior Sauvage (the Johnny Depp one) ... actually, it was given to me it, but it went straight out
GFT Eucris Hair Tonic ... too oily for my liking, makes my hair go curly and lank. Shame, as we know it's possibly the world's best scent

Yeah, I was left wanting with this brush, which is curious as I absolutely love the other Semogues that I have. I tried, tried and tried, it never really softened up, seemed to gulp down the soap and just not deliver. What I can say is their SOC boars are super, as is their non-SOC similar handled 1305.

Absolutely - I reckon the SOC is where I'd go next time. One of the few sales I regret. But I'm beginning to conclude that I would like to like boar and horse more than I actually do.

Barbaros TR1. Unfortunately I only got the head but that is the bit you shave with.I contacted Hassan about a handle but he wasn't interested in making me one. Lovely workmanship great shave. Crap customer service.

    Worst purchase of 2016
    P&B Sanskrit.
It wasn't cured properly and just smelled of an ammonia and cat pee every time I took the lid off. It had to go.

    The best things:

Faena Vanilla Soap - ridiculously good stuff
Brut Passion AS - on @pjgh recommendation. A definite winner - now just need to smuggle in some of the musk.
Shavemac TSR LE - good handle/loft/knot. Lucky No. 6 and because I got it on a bst - someone else took the original price hit.

    The worst things:

Blue Stratos AS - excuse me madam, but is this supposed to smell........of anything??
P&B Spitfire - no, no, no, no, NO!!!!!
Billy's Chinese Blue-cheese shaving soap - I think they put a soap label on a tin of dubbin.

    Best purchases:

Eskilstuna SR from Billy, my first SR... It changed my shaving life forever.
Kent BK4, Turns out I prefer small floppy knots... Who could've guessed?
L'Occitane Cade soap & cream... My current favourite thing, absolutely love it.

    Worst purchases:

Unbranded Gillette Old DE, useless shaver that couldn't take the skin off a rice pudding.
HJM boar brush, I hate boar bristles... Simple as that.
Arko / Palmolive soaps... Yes I know they're inexpensive but they're also utter crap.

I've had a very frugal year and bought no razors!!!!

    Best buys:
Brush - My Romera knots set in WolfWhiskers handles.
Soap - Wickhams 1912. I was also pleasantly surprised by Simpsons creams.

Soap - P&B. I just really didn't like the scents of Obsidian or Spitfire.
  14. Purchased no brushes or software in 2016.

However, did purchase two razors: An L1 Injector. And..another L1 injector.

They have rendered my DE razors redundant. Without question my best purchase this year.

    Best buys

Razor - King Pelican from Jamie. Mint condition, beautifully ornate, great shaver.

Soap/Cream - PannaCrema Rosso, AdP Collezione Barbiere

Scent - AdP Leather, I'll never be without a bottle.

    Worst buy

P&B Star Noir. I think it's best to just say "No comment"
