I have posted some of the winter temperatures we have been getting in the Mundane News thread. It's a old Canadian habit of bitching about the cold and may make UK member feel a little better about their winter conditions. I ran across an article on The Weather Network about a 1947 winter storm that I thought was interesting.
The Weather Network - It reached - 60 °C during 'Worst Storm in Canadian Railroad History'
If you do go to the link keep in mind that Regina Saskatchewan is only 250 km by road from the US border and the -60C/-76F temperature quoted is the actual temperature not with wind chill added. The wind chill factor was not done in those days. So glad I was not around for this storm.
