Looks like an Eclipse No. 77, many people like those. I use an E. C. Stearns # 795B Pistol grip, it allows me to adjust the angle as well as depth of set, the Eclipse' angle is not adjustable. A vintage handsaw with a taper ground blade that is properly filed and set will outperform any new saw in any price range. Also looks better and feels better in the hand.

It's a saw set for sharpening hand saws, the index dictates the angle the teeth are set to.
Actually the numbers are for PPI, or points per inch, the lower the number, the larger the teeth. Big teeth get the set farther down on the tooth. The Eclipse has the angle preset, all you are adjusting is the depth.
