+1 for Bart’s, used sparingly it’s fantastic stuff. I have the balm and the lotion and find both equally good, either individually or used together.

I can now say, having used it, that the balm Oleo does for Mammoth Soaps is excellent. It’s just runny enough to be easily spreadable, absorbs quickly and without any greasiness. Loads of skin food in it too. Currently sold at Slickboys alongside the soaps although right now they’re all matching scents. Hopefully they’ll do an unscented sometime.

I think he's discontinued that scent along with a few others but has plans to introduce new products. The ASL version is still available with a discount on his site.

Sounds weird he discontinued such a fragrance: it's not Hot dog & Molasses!
I like the texture of the old balm and its scent!
It must be sort of a pogonotomic Murphy's Law: If it works and smells good... quit it!

Naissance Aloe Vera gel. No need for fancy stuff that costs a fortune, does nothing and is full of crap. A finger tip of this stuff and it will soothe, combat redness and repair a poor shave in 20mins. I swear by it. Fragrance free so it will not clash with whatever fragrance you spray afterwards.

I agree with you, basically.
There are many aloe gels sold in any country under different brand names.
And would go further: why not using an aloe leaf itself: just peel it and use it!
This will free enybody from buying any product that underwent industrial process.
On the other side I love fragrances, so... why not?
