I’m looking to purchase a valet auto strap razor and I would appreciate some advice on what one to get and just general feed back on these razors please

First you need to get the name right, "Valet Auto/Strop". 
I have the VC1 which will readily accept a slightly modified GEM SS blade, it's the one I would recommend. Fantastic shaver!
The spineless Feather stainless blades are awful, and the carbon steel ones are worse, I only use the GEM SS.

The photo below will help show you the pin pattern you need on the head in order that it will accept a modern Feather FHS-10 blade.
They’re great razors to shave with and are cheap enough to enable you to try out each type for very little money. [emoji846]
