Having seen a few You Tube GQ magazine ten essentials of the “stars” what are yours ? No grooming related as that for many of us is every changing.

Here is mine.

Cubitts Cruikshank glasses, having a big head most glasses don’t fit me. But these do having straight arms helps and they look good.

Ipad 11 Pro. Always have it with me, it has books, email, a few games and easy internet access.

Tiffany key ring, my Wife gave this to me on my 40th.
A Swiss Army Mini champ, nice and small but very useful.
Kum pencil sharpener, recently I have been using pencils more, this gives a great long point.

Molskiene notebook, useful when you would forget your head if it wasn’t screwed on like me.
Fisher Spacepen, had one when I was a kid, missed it and replaced it
Blackwing pencil, tried a few and I like the Blackwing.

A watch, I have a few which change depending on what I feel like wearing, always wear a watch out, but never indoors.
SOS talisman, going to sound a bit daft here, but it gives me a bit of confidence. After my recent health and in particular heart issues I just feel my info is inside as well as meds and contact details.

So what are your essentials or things that you like to have around you ?

Nice. You gotta be outfitted to be comfortable with going out into the world. I carried a brown Levi’s backpack for 20 years to and from work with everything I’d need. After September 11th, the supervisors advised everyone to pack a personal go-bag. Mine included things like a flashlight, bandanas (this was long before masks were a daily accoutrement), pocket knife, a week’s worth of medicine, phone charger, etc. It made sense, and I just stuck with it until the day I retired. The bag even travelled around the world, across the continent, and to the Caribbean numerous times.

In the bag I kept several fountain pens, pencils, flashlights, usb cables for every device, notebooks, a thermometer during Covid, extra masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and OTC meds, drops, etc.
