A block would be the two days followed by two nights.
So, four shifts followed by four off. A second block of four shifts followed by four off. A third block of four but then ten off.
I work twelve shifts every thirty days
Thanks, I thought that is what you meant. I wish we had of been on that instead of a steady 4 on 4 off.

As @Holyzeus mentioned it sucked when the clocks went back when I was working 12-hour night shifts. Now I work office hours it's a non-event, it's one hour and it changes at weekend.

Honestly, I think minimising the amount of time I have to be awake when it's dark and miserable outweighs the inconvenience of changing the clock.

Extreme sharpness is ephemeral!
In my entire 64 years, I have never once seen or understood the benefits of switching the clocks, and no matter who I talk to they are of the same thinking, it's a complete and utter pain in the arse.
