St Lucia Green Gold coffee

A friend of ours just gave us a small bag of St Lucia Green Gold coffee which she picked up while on holidays there. It is a very finely ground coffee that to me is full flavoured and not at all bitter with a slight hint of possibly vanilla. Was very good black or with a spoonful of demerara brown cane sugar added. I think we will definitely look at getting more sent to us. Anyone else tried this coffee?

Sorry, should have posted the English side of the bag.

I am so nervous of trying good coffee.
I know i will like it.

I am pondering cutting down to one cup a day to justify spending twice as much.

Nice that you have found something you enjoy.
Oh, just did a search, it is not horribly priced is it?

My tastebuds have changed over the years. I used to drink coffee black only, but now with heavy cream. I can’t taste any difference so I get what costs the least.

Ideal. We have so much choice now, we can go with what we like.
Like you say, if adding cream, the cheapest is probably best I would say. (based on very little knowledge)
According to a coffee guy, they kind of burn the cheaper beans to make them all taste the same.
So, I reckon, with cream, that probably tastes the best.
You don't want a light sort of flavour in a coffee if adding cream.

Now I fancy that.

I think it is a bit on the expensive side in the link. In the link the GBP price, roughly $9.56 CAD, is for 84 g of coffee. I normally buy my preferred ground coffee @ $8.97 CAD for 300g. Then there is shipping to Canada and any duties and taxes payable on import to add to that.

The bag I had given to me contained 250g of coffee so I am looking for a Canadian seller of that size bag.

I hate cream in my coffee or tea but a little sugar is OK, so I guess I am out of luck on that account.

Oh, yes.
a) i assumed you were UK.
b) I didn't look carefully enough, yes, it is only 84g, you are right. I assumed it was a sort of standard 250g type offer.

That is another difference between the UK and Canada, the standard small bag of ground coffee is 300g and the next larger size is 900/930g. There are also oddball sizes usually from small makers.
