    ATT SE G1
    Gem S/S [ 4 ] + 1/2 Spine shim- trimmed down.
    Alum Rub/ Rinse off
    Tuff Red A/S Lotion

After rather disappointing Shaves with this Razor, and conversations with Stan at ATT he confirmed my suspicions that this like the Sabre L1 was too mild for me. The only solution was to try a Shim, which I did with a plastic Shim, which increased aggression and resulted in a decent Shave.

Today I used a different shim, made from the 1/2 spine of a Gem blade slightly trimmed to fit. Being slightly thicker than the first Shim, the aggression was increased. The Razor now had blade feel and was very efficient at ploughing away the whiskers, and is used in the same way as a Vintage SE would be. I was very pleased with the ease of Shave which was quite smooth and comfortable, and the quality of finish was very good perhaps equalling those obtained with a !924/1914.I actually think it was better than one yesterday with my polished Mongoose.

Olive Oil soap and RSC Facial Scrub
    Vitos Preshave Cream
    De Vergulde Hand Soap
    Omega 10065 Boar Brush
Feather AC SS in 'Scotch Wood' with a Feather SuperPro
    Alum Block and Rinse
    BBA PS Balm
    Benjamins Kananga Water

Choice of soap today was due to the fact that we shall be dining this evening with the young lady from The Netherlands who restocked me with the VDH soap. It seemed to be appropriate!
I have been using the AC fairly regularly for a number of years, but only recently can I say that I am fully confident in using it in 'Mission Critical' Shaves. Today.....with 2 passes and a touch up....I had a perfect BBS shave.
I will probably spend the rest of the day rubbing my face:)

    Enjoy your weekend:)

    Saturday morning shave:

Pre.: Hot water rinse, coconut oil, Proraso red pre shave cream
Brush: 30mm Tuxedo knot on a Shavemac 82 renaissance handle
    Soap: XPEC shaving cream
Razor: iKon B1 Standard on iKon DLC bamboo handle
    Blade: Kai stainless (1st use)
Post.: Hot water rinse, alum, cold water rinse, 444, XPEC after shave balm, XPEC EDT

The Personna Platinum Chrome blade felt somewhat rough, so I switched to the Kai stainless. Right decision, the new blade made the shave much better and more comfortable. As the Kai blades are quite sharp, I took my time and slowed a little bit down, getting a really smooth result :)

Have a nice and relaxed weekend :)

    Morning shave.

    Baxters of California Face Wash
    Speick Shave Cream
    Semogue 1305
    Little Wren Pottery
    Rockwell 6C (plate 4)
    Gillette Nacet (1)
    Speick Aftershave
    Caron Pour un Homme EDT

It was my first time using Speick products and I was very impressed. A little bit of the shaving cream goes a long way and I probably had enough lather for 5 passes. A rich, creamy lather that lacks a little slickness but provides excellent cushioning. The aftershave performed extremely well. No need for any balm. Have a great weekend gents.

A wetter lather proved to be a slicker lather and a better shave than yesterday's.

    Pre - Hot shower
Brush - Simpson X2 Best Badger
Soap - Wickham Soap Citrus Musk
    Razor - Pearl SSH-01 OC
    Blade - Gillette 7 o'Clock black
Post - Floids Balm/Old Spice Musk
AS - Paco Rabanne 1 Million Absolutely Gold EdP

This razor on its second shave feels a little rough with a less smooth shave. It is going to get a few more tries before it moves on. Lovely brush and soap combo. Simpson never fails to impress ![IMG]
